The Junior Pony Club is a supplemental program for our newest and youngest members and their parents creating an educational bridge for young horse enthusiast to learn horse/ rider safety, pony care and barn safety - then gradually introduce the hands-on live pony care. No horse is required for this 8-week session, there will be one lead line riding lesson towards the end with shared ponies. A parent is required to attend with each child. Safe barn attire will be introduced. Once the 8-week Horse Management session is complete, Jr. Pony Club member graduates will have the option to continue on and join FRVPC as full members working towards a D-1 Rating in Horse Management. FRVPC does not have a stable of horses or ponies, however, we can refer you to lesson barn if you do not have access to one suitable for a beginner rider. When you feel your child is ready to move up we welcome their involvement as an official member of the FRVPC & USPC. With Pony Club Membership he or she will be insured and will be able to participate in all Fox River Valley Pony Club activities at the appropriate skill level. This includes: Riding lessons on your own pony, all club horse management learning sessions, riding clinics, riding camps, Rally competitions, field trips, HM study parties, Halloween, Holiday & year end celebration activities.

One parent will need to be present and help supervise their own child.
